UK couple scoop the 3rd largest EuroMillions Jackpot

The 3rd larget UK Euromillions jackpot prize is claimed by a couple from Cambridgeshire.

Camelot are delighted that Angela and Dave Dawes have gone public as the 3rd largest UK Euromillions jackpot winners with a gobsmacking £101,203,600.70!

The Cambridgeshire couple from Wisbech were the only winners on Friday 7th October – and are now the 703rd richest person in the UK.

Both David and Angela were watching the EuroMillions draw show not realising or thinking that they had the winning numbers. It wasn’t until they checked their ticket that they watched in shock as the numbers came up one by one.

David said “We couldn’t believe it. It was too late to call Camelot so I kept the ticket on me all night until the morning but we didn’t sleep a wink.” The lucky ticket was purchased from WH Smith in Wisbech

David, who is 47, currently works as a shift supervisor for Premium Foods, and his partner, 43 year old Angela is a volunteer for the British Heart Foundation. The couple are due to marry in Portugal next year and have been together for just four years.

As a huge Chelsea fan the first thing Mr Dawes will spend some of his winnings on is a season ticket and a house near the Chelsea grounds – he even hopes to ask Frank Lampard round for tea. He said: “I’m not worried about getting a box – I want to stand with the real fans and watch my team play“.

David and Angela admitted that it was an excessive amount of money, but they intend to make their friends and family millionaires. She added that they had already broken the news to some of the people that they would be helping.

“They are absolutely gobsmacked, amazed,” she said. “Obviously it’s exciting for us and exciting for them.”

The winning numbers were 18, 26, 34, 38 and 42. The Lucky Star numbers were 5 and 8.

Monster Euromillions Jackpot reaches £77 Million!

Here we go again – the Euromillions Jackpot has rolled over for a seventh time so Friday sees another massive jackpot of £77 Million!

Once again this jackpot is proving tricky to win, so for those jackpot hunters, you have another stab at winning this eye popping jackpot. The Euromillions really is one of the most exciting lotteries in the world because of the speed it grows.

EuroMillions Is Capped at £166 Million

It hasn’t been clear up to now as to what actually happens if the Euromillions reaches the jackpot cap of £166 Million, but Camelot have now announced what will happen.

With the Euromillions now rolling over for the 13 time this Friday, if the Jackpot is not claimed, then it gets frozen at £166 million until someone wins. All  the money that is received for Euromillion ticket sales from Friday will not be shared amongst the lower levels, which means more money for many more players, which can only be a good thing.
